Surfing Lazy left
Lazy left, Midigama, South Sri Lanka, is a fun surf spot for
intermediate surfers who would like to work on there left
hand turns and pumps. Lazy Left breaks in front of rocks but
with more then enough distance to feel comfortable. Take off
is gentle but going to much straight put you close to the
rocks. After the first part of the wave the lazy left gets
more fat as the reef becomes more deep. But the 2nd "lazy"
part of the wave is still surfable for longboarders.
Intermediate surfers with shortboard and longboard can have
fun at this spot. Proper surf etiquette is required as it
gets often crowded. The spot has a nice chanel towards the
right when paddling back to the spot. Sometimes the set
waves trend to break more wide, allowing for mellow take
offs from the shoulder. Find the wave by going to the
midigama beach, where you can see both lazy left and right.
When to surf lazy left
The best conditions in the morning, from November to April,
and a swell direction from SSE to SSW with no wind or light
offshore breeze.

your session.
